corrections policy
What this covers
Resolve's tools generate machine outputs — detector verdicts, projections, and AI-written analysis (DeepDive). These outputs are probabilistic and are sometimes wrong. This policy explains what we do when an output contains a material factual error, and how to tell us about one.
It applies to the outputs the Services generate. It does not cover Contributor Content, which has its own corrections process, or the third-party sources an output references.
Reporting an error
If you believe an output contains a material factual error — especially a claim about a real, identifiable person — tell us at resolveresearcher.com/contact. It helps if you include the output or where you saw it, the specific claim you're flagging, and, where you can, a primary source showing the correct information.
What we do with a report
- We read every report. There is a person on the other end.
- We record the correction. When we confirm a material error, we log it with the date and what was wrong.
- We fix systemic errors. Where an error reflects a pattern rather than a one-off, we change the underlying behavior so it doesn't recur.
- We tell you what we did. We'll let you know the outcome of your report.
What a correction is not
Correcting a specific output does not turn our outputs into verified facts. They remain machine-generated, probabilistic estimates, as described in the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy. A correction addresses one specific error; it is not a certification of anything else.
Timing
We aim to acknowledge a report within a few business days and to resolve confirmed material errors promptly. More complex cases take longer, and we'll keep you informed while we work on them.
