contributor terms

contributor terms

version 1.2 · effective 2026-07-31 · resolve research llc

1. Who this applies to

You are a "Contributor" if you submit written work ("Contributor Content") for publication on resolveresearcher.com or its subdomains. By submitting, you agree to these terms, which are part of, and incorporated into, the Terms of Service.

2. You keep your work

You retain all rights to your Contributor Content. Ownership, copyright, and every other right in what you submit stay with you. We do not claim ownership of your work, nothing here transfers your copyright to us, and you are free to publish the same work anywhere else.

3. The permission you give us

So that we can actually publish your work, you grant Resolve a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and distribute your Contributor Content on and through the Site, and to promote it (for example, a title and excerpt in a feed or newsletter).

This license exists only so that we can publish and display your work. It is not a transfer of ownership, it is non-exclusive, and it does not limit what you do with your own work elsewhere. The license lasts while your work is published on the Site and for a reasonable period afterward to cover backups, caches, and archival copies. See Section 8 for taking work down.

Your name and bio. Publishing your work means showing who wrote it, so you also grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your name, byline, professional bio, and any profile image you give us — for the purpose of attributing, publishing, archiving, and promoting your Contributor Content. Nothing else. We won't use your name or image to promote unrelated Resolve products, or imply you endorse them.

This part of the license works differently in two directions, deliberately:

4. Attribution

Your work is published under your name, with full attribution to you. We credit you as the author. If you want a particular byline, or a link to your own site or profile, tell us and we'll use it. We will not publish your work as Resolve's own.

5. Compensation

Contribution is currently unpaid. You submit voluntarily, and we do not owe you a fee for publishing your work. If we introduce paid contributions in the future, that arrangement will be a separate written agreement, agreed in advance, and will not apply retroactively to work already submitted.

6. Your responsibilities

By submitting, you represent that:

7. Publication is not endorsement, and we don't verify it

We publish Contributor Content as the work and views of its author. We do not verify it, and we take no responsibility for the truthfulness or accuracy of any claim, method, analysis, or conclusion in it. Publishing your work is not our endorsement of it; the views, data, and methods in it are yours, not Resolve's, and readers should treat it as the author's own analysis. Where practical, we label Contributor Content as authored by a contributor rather than by Resolve.

8. Editing, declining, and removal

9. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold harmless Resolve and its members, officers, and agents from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your Contributor Content, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

10. Corrections

If you or a reader identifies a material error in published Contributor Content, tell us at resolveresearcher.com/contact. We will bring corrections to you and, together with you, correct, annotate, or remove the piece.

11. Changes and termination

We may change these terms; we'll update the version number and effective date, and material changes are notified as described in the Terms of Service. Either of us may end this arrangement at any time. Sections 2, 6, 7, and 9 survive.

12. Relationship to the Terms of Service

These Contributor Terms are part of the Terms of Service. Where they conflict with the general Terms on a matter specific to Contributor Content, these terms govern. Everything else in the Terms of Service — disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law, and dispute resolution — continues to apply.
